     We have been in business since 1964 as an independently owned, commercial wool testing lab located in Denver, Colorado. We test raw wool for yield and fiber diameter. We also test at various stages of the textile manufacturing process and provide individual animal testing to provide selection data for breeders. Individual micron test reporting is now fast, accurate and affordable for sheep, alpacas, angora goats, cashmere goats and llamas. Pricing information can be found in the applicable sample form.      Yocom-McColl is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation technology for measuring average fiber diameter of animal fibers, CSIRO's Sirolan Laserscan and BSC Electronics' OFDA100(Optical Fibre Diameter Analyser). Microprojection continues to be available as a manual method for measuring fiber diameter for core testing.

     Breeders who are participating in the ARI EPD program and the Ideal Alpaca Community EPD program MUST send both ARI and IAC sample forms with each sample for release of data to the respective program.
